Have you ever listened to the song "Pal pal hain bhaari", from the movie Swades. It is a devotional song and now has become one of my fav. song. I didnt pay much attention to this song when i watched the movie swades (Was more attracted towards Yuhi Chala and Tara song). Later on, one of our friend told me that the song is good and asked me to listen to that song. Sari kettu dhaan paapomenu ketten..wow....chance ille very beautiful song. Summa va, A. R Rehman music, Javed Akhtar lyrics, combined with madhushree's sweet voice.

1) Swami Vivekananda : Very inspiring personality. He was a great
thinker and a mighty man of action. I was pleased and proud to see a street in chicago named as "Vivekananda Street". I firmly believe he will be a source of inspiration for ages to come.

2) Mahakavi Bharathiyaar : : Yaamarindha mozhigalile thamizh mozhi pol inidhaavedhengum kaanom nu bharathi sonnaar....Naan solren....Yaamarindha pulavirile, bharathiyai pol eniyavarai engum kaanOm. Mahakavi Bharathiyaar was a visionary who thought India should be a modern industrial nation, where all citizens (irrespective of gender, religion or caste) should be equal. I think every Indian should be aware of this great Indian, and draw inspiration from his words.

3) Kamarajar - The King Maker, Kalvi kannai thirandhu vaitha
maaperum thalaivar. To avoid the partiality between the poor and the rich students, he introducted the free uniform scheme. Parents will send their children to schools at least if they get one time food appadinu Mid-Day-Meal Scheme introduce pannaaru. He really made a revolution in education. I salute his simplicity and sacrifice. His life is a lesson for Humanity.


4) Mother Therasa : A beloved humanitarian known throughout the
world for her charity towards the poor. Mother,you will be always
remembered by all with love.

5) Rahul Dravid : The Great Wall of India. Cool as ice and strong as
a wall. This Mr. Dependable is really amazing. A perfect technician and an unsung hero. We are proud of you Rahul, and have full confidence in you that you will come in flying colours in your new avatar as captain.

6) Isaipuyal A. R Rehman : "Chinna Chinna Aasai", marakka mudiyuma
andha paatu. When Roja was released, everyone felt a different style of music floating around, the music which they havent heard so far. I know almost all his songs byheart. Eppavume paaditu ellaaraiyum torture pannitu iruppen..;-)... He really changed the face of Indian film music. I really enjoy his music. Kudos to Allah Rakha Rahman


7) Harish Raghavendra : When i first heard the song "Nirpadhuve
Nadapadhuve Parappadhuve" from Bharathi (one of my fav. song), i was very curious to find out the singer's name. Atsharam pesagaame padradhile harishku nigar harish
dhaan. Tamil kole panre singers naduvule he is really unique. Latest ah kodambakkam filmle "Ragasiyamanadhu Kadhal" song super. He deserves a special place in this list coz i have seen him in person, CTS annual dayle "Devadhai Devadhai avaloru devadhainu' paadinaan...

8) P. Chidambaram : Palaniyappan Chidambaran, the Finance Minister
of India. This honest politician is an MBA graduate from harvard. Vellai Vetti, Vellai Shirtle he look really suave. I feel he is much different from other politicians. I am sure as a finance minister he will serve the nation efficiently.

9) Narayana Murthy : Founder of infosys. Inspite of being such a
great person, He is very simple and down to earth. I thank him for all that he did (doing, will do) for the IT industry

10) Amitabh Bachan : The Shahenshah of Indian cinema. enna oru personality...Gambeeramana voice....chance ille.....I havent seen much of his movies....but "Kaun banege crorepathi" vidaame paapen.....Hats off to you Amitabh...

TV ye thorandha serial

Serials..hmmm....morning cereal, matha time ellaam serial. Many people are addicted to this daily soaps. 99% of the serials revolves around woman and it shows the day to day struggle they have to do in this male dominant world. Every episode, atleast one lady (usually it will be some 'n' number of ladies) will cry and seeing that nam veetu penmanigalum kanmaniyilirundhu kaneer vadippar. I was wondering serials are for entertainment, makkale sirikka vekkardhe vittutu, already kashtapadara makkale en azha vekkaraanganu?? Then I started thinking logically (After all am a s/w engineer..:-)) The only way to make a line appear smaller is to draw a bigger line next to it (naan sollalainga birbal pannadhu), in the same way, avanga kashtapadardhe paatha namma kashtam ellaam onnume illengare feelinge indha serials kondu varudhu...But watching a comedy serial, if they are happy, y cant we also be happynu nenakka thonadha???

Thiruvottiyur...The place i was born, The place i was brought up, The place where i have spend my entire life. Thiruvottiyur (Henceforth called as TVT) — is in the Northern Part of Chennai. 12 Kms from Parrys, lined-up along the Coastal area. Thiruvottiyurnu sonnale first strike aagardhu "Theradi Periya Kovil" dhaaan (Theradi veedhiyil kovilirundha Thiruvottiyurnu therinjukko). The Primary God of the Shrine is Thyagaraya Swamigal (a) Shiva. But it is famously known as “Vadivudai Amman Temple”. The Temple is spread out for acres having lot of spaces to sit and relax. "Kada theru" marakka mudiyma. Every time i goto the temple i end up buying cosmetic items from the kada theru (It is also very cheap). Also we have the famous "Pattinathar kovil", history says that Pattinathar, a divine poet, attained “mukthi” at TVT.

TVT is also blessed with very good educational institutions for all grades. Some of the Schools are run by the Sponsers of industries which strives to give better education to the Children of their Employees. To name a few, Vellayam Chettiyar Hr. Sec School and Murugappa Polytechnic run by Carborundam Universal industries, Nehru Matriculation Hr. Sec School Run by ITC groups, Ashok Leyland School run by Ashok Leyland group, Ramakrishna Polytechnic run by KCP Industries.

Murthy restaurant is one of the famous restaurant for sweets and savouries. Very good quality at affordable prices. Venkateswara fancy store, velile paaka chinna kadai madhiri irukkum, once we go inside, appa indha kadaile illadhe porule illenu thonum. I used to get gifts/cards for my friends/relatives from here only. Also there are good Hospitals like Apollo, Sugam and Priya Nursing home. For recreation, beach, park ellaam irukku.

Since all the major IT giants offices are located in the southern part of chennai(Thiruvanmiyur, Shollinganallur, Navalur and Sirusseri), the only problem i have in thiruvottiyur is the commutation. Other than this I am proud to be a TVT Resident

TVT is not posh as Anna nagar or Besant Nagar but if u want to get away from the bustles of City life and yet enjoy all the facilities of City, then u can reside in TVT. Almost all the time I have to defend Thiruvottiyur from my friends/colleagues tormenting Thiruvottiyur as Worst place to dwell. Atleast after reading this blog they will realize the "mahathuvam" of thiruvottiyur.. “God Bless Thiruvottiyur”

My First Flight Journey

I would like to create my first blog on my first flight journey. My visa appearance was on september 2005, but due to some urgent need at onsite, it got preponed to may 10 and i was intimated on may 8th that i have to goto delhi to get my visa stamped. visa stamp aaganumre tensione vida flightle pora tension romba adhigama irundhichu..;-) On May 9th myself and my dad reached the airport some 4 hrs before the flight (international flightku koode yaarum ivlo seekiram poga maataanga..;-)). Security check in and all formalities were done. Announcement was made to get into the flight some 15 mins before takeoff, seat belt koode poda theriyale, asked one gentleman next to me for putting the seatbelt (and also while removing.:-)). I was thinking what will happen if the plane is hijacked or if there is any problem with the plane (all negative thoughts). During the take off, i just closed me eyes and ella kadavulaiyum vendikitten, but plane mele poga poga en bayam koranjitte vandhidhu.. Had lunch and was just reading some magazines, and there was an announcement that the flight is going to land in delhi in another 20 mins. First thing that stricked me is ivlo neram onnum aagale so indha 20 minslaiyum onnum nadakkadhu and i will reach delhi safelynu. Landed in delhi safely, got my visa stamped on 10th may and returned to chennai on the same day. Got a good company in the return journey (my friend's friend who is working in HCL) and enjoyed it. I came to US on may 18th (Just 8 days after my stamping), and after coming here i travelled in plane so many times to different places like Las Vegas, Newyork, chicago and california. Flight journeys have become common, flight time 1 hr munnaadi airport reach aanaale perusu and i never bother to listen to the safety instructions...Hmm...Life has changed what i havent done in all these years am doing so many times in the past 1 yr....Like First love, First job and First kid, my first flight journey is special and i will always cherish it.
